Five months into our married life and the Lord had us on a real adventure. When we got married we had nothing in our house in way of furniture and even less in the way of finances, yet we were lucky enough to have traveled to 4 countries already! Pretty amazing when one considers we had next to nothing (it would be 6 countries by the time we were married for 7 months). Soon after we had felt the Lord calling us to France we heard through a friend about a major prayer gathering in Indonesia. Something stirred in us and we had a real sense that we needed to be there. We felt like we needed to trust God to provide for us to get there, but as the closing date for registration approached we only ever had enough money to register, the fee was $100 each. Finally on the last day of registration we needed to "step out on to the water", we had to ask ourselves, "did God say we should go?" Yes, He did. "Did He say He would provide?" Again this was a yes, so we had to take all that we had and register. It wasn't even an hour later when our flights and hotel were paid for by an anonymous donor who had heard about us through the same friend that had told us about the World Prayer Assembly, we were on our way to Indonesia.  Our experience getting to and at the World Prayer Assembly became a real faith catalyst for us. We had seen the goodness of God, once again learned that we could trust Him and now more than ever felt the desire to serve Him in the nation of France. We returned home full of faith and began to explore our options to leave our jobs and Go! (Go! was the word spoken over us at our wedding, another story for another day). A few short months later, at the end of 2012, we resigned our jobs (always scary) and entered into a 5 month intensive Church Leadership School to be better equipped for what we were now certain God was calling us to.
